Desktop Health with EnvisionTEC brings the most advanced 3D technology and proprietary materials right to dental offices and labs, enabling you to be at the forefront of digital dentistry. EnvisionTEC’s dental technology is now a part of Desktop Health.

One of the recent pioneering solutions is Flexcera™– a proprietary material technology for 3D printing. It is compatible with multiple EnvisionTEC™ 3D printers and is used for the fabrication of beautiful, functional dentures.

Flexcera™ Base and Flexcera™Smile harness the strength of ceramics coupled with the flexibility of plastic. As a result, the printed dentures have high resistance to fracture and moisture.

Preparing dentures

While EnvisionTEC makes the production process for dentures easy, some preparation is required prior to fabrication. One of the most important preliminary steps is to create an accurate dental scan.

See the article scanning for dentures for more details and recommendations.

Materials handling

To ensure the best possible quality of printed parts, it is highly important to handle materials properly. Everything starting from the storage conditions for materials to the maintenance of material trays makes sense.

After having printed a detail, it is crucial to follow the guidelines for the material curing times depending on the material. With the Otoflash curing unit, which is an ideal solution for post-processing printed models, the recommended curing times for Flexcera™ materials are provided below.
